On the Visual Studio Team menu, click Team Explorer. |

In Team Explorer, expand your team project folder, and then the Work Items, Project Queries folders. |

Right-click the My Work Items query, and select View Results. |

Locate your bug in the My Work Items [Results] pane and select it. |

Set the State to Resolved. |

Set the Reason to an appropriate value (As Designed, Deferred, Duplicate, Fixed, Obsolete, or Unable to Reproduce). |

In the Detailed Description and History, provide additional information about the bug resolution and justify the reason given for the resolution. |

In the Assigned To field, enter the name of the tester who created the bug. The tester is responsible for verifying the resolution. |

On the File menu, choose Save My Work Items [Results]. |
